Overview

Grants are a way to help enhance and inspire economic development in Wyoming.

Funds are provided by the City of Cheyenne and Laramie County to help enhance projects and support businesses.

Criteria: 

  • Grants are focused on Community Development Projects that support any of the Economic Development Building Blocks.  This can include workforce development, quality of life enhancement, infrastructure, community leadership, entrepreneurship, and business expansion.  

  • Grant requests are brought forward by or in partnership with nonprofits, government entities, community and economic development organizations or coalitions of the above. Preference given to projects that are done in conjunction with a local bank but have a gap in funding need. 

  • Grants can potentially be used for for-profit small businesses in conjunction with a JPB loan.  

Terms: 

  • Do not need to be repaid. 

  • May include a recapture clause if used for real estate or development.  

  • Generally, between $10,000 and $75,000

  • May be paid out over the course of 1 year based on a re of invoices for use of the funds.
